布魯斯威利和《魔鬼終結者3》導演合作的最新作品，他在片中一人分飾兩角，有頭髮的是代理人分身，光頭的則是本尊。

「代理人」的概念就是讓人類可以嘗試各式各樣的極限挑戰，卻不會因意外而死亡，出生入死的警探和軍人特別需要機器代理人，而且代理人外型、性別可以任君選擇。這個看似萬無一失的制度，卻因為有使用者離奇死亡，而需要布魯斯威利飾演的聯邦警探出馬辦案。

布魯斯威利可說是銀幕最佳警探人選，這回在「獵殺代理人」裡，還有分身警探，不用再自己衝鋒陷陣，一切由代理人搞定。老布的代理人看起來比本尊年輕，頂上毛髮濃密，還有過人的體能，跑得遠、跳得高，幾乎打不死。不過，老布的代理人最終還是報廢，這時就只好本人親自出馬打擊犯罪
