◎Plot 簡　　介
鴨川潺潺，五月的京都格外美麗。安倍經過復讀終於考上了京都大學，他和曾經在海外生活、特迷日本文化的高村成了好朋友。這天兩人打工回來，在路上遇到了同校的學長菅原，菅原拉著他們參加「京大青龍會」的迎新活動。京大青龍會是個不知所謂的奇怪社團，安倍對社團成員早良京子一見鍾情，為了接近心上人，他不管三七二十一當即申請入會，高村也跟著成了會員。除了安倍、高村、早良，青龍會新人還包括眼鏡女楠木富美、唯我獨尊的蘆屋滿、長得一模一樣的雙胞胎三好兄弟，個個都是怪人。

在衹園祭之夜，青龍會成員在菅原的帶領下身著藍色浴衣來到四條烏丸路口，接著，白衣、紅衣、黑衣三組人陸續到來，他們分別來自立命館、龍谷、京都產業大學。四組人自報家門後就散了。莫名其妙的安倍隨後得知，青龍會是京都千年秘儀「荷爾摩」的傳承者，他們要操縱叫做「小鬼」的式神，與代表白虎、朱雀、玄武的三隊展開對抗。

青龍會一共十個人，每個人必須操縱一百隻小鬼。安倍等人跟著學長開始了特訓，他們學習「鬼語」，練習怎麼看怎麼變態的指揮動作，可是一連訓練了半年也沒瞧見過小鬼。

一天晚上，青龍會來到吉田神社。在莊嚴的氛圍中。菅原學長忽然邊唱怪歌邊跳起了裸舞，安倍等新人也漸漸跟著陷入了迷狂狀態，狂舞了一場。原來這是神聖的「吉田更替儀式」。儀式結束後，安倍等人就正式成了第500代「荷爾摩師」，剎那間一千隻「小鬼」出現在他們面前。

四象大戰即將展開，青龍會忙著集訓。正當忙亂之際，安倍突然得知早良早就和蘆屋開始交往了，由此大受打擊。安倍提出要脫離青龍會，菅原表示必須遵循古老的法則「十七條」展開會內對抗戰。安倍獲得了高村、楠木和三好兄弟的支持組成一隊，剩下的五人構成了實力強勁的蘆屋隊。他們並不知道，「十七條」背後隱藏著可怕的秘密……

Let the battle begin! Based on Makime Manabu's best-selling fantasy novel, Battle League Horumo (a.k.a. Kamogawa Horumo) is a wildly inventive and entertaining action comedy from director Motoki Katsuhide, who knows more than a thing or two about combining action, fantasy, and special effects after helming the Gegege no Kitaro movie series. This strange little film revolves around a group of college students who participate in a traditional combat game that involves a color array of demon spirits courtesy of renowned anime house GONZO. Yamada Takayuki (Crows Zero) leads a young and energetic cast that includes Kuriyama Chiaki (Exte), Ishida Takuya (Oppai Volleyball), and Hamada Gaku (Fish Story)

It took two extra years of self-study but Akira (Yamada Takayuki) has finally made it into Kyoto University. While attending a welcome party hosted by Azure Dragon, he falls in love at first sight with one of the members and immediately signs up. It turns out Azure Dragon is no ordinary club though. The members represent their school in the 1000-year-old tradition of "Horumo" battle. Ten-member teams from different universities compete in battle by manipulating an army of 100 Oni spirits!
